“There’s always a barrier in the way, There’s never a perfect time. So just go and do it”

Today’s guest is Gian Power. Gian is the Founder of TLC Lions and Unwind London.

Having started out in Consulting, Gian’s life was turned upside down in 2015 when his father was murdered while on a business trip to India.

Following the 3 month investigation to find out what happened to his father, a period that Gian says was ‘the most difficult time of his life’ he returned to Consulting but found it just wasn’t the same for him. That’s when he set out to do something different and that decision ultimately led him to found TLC Lions.

Since launching TLC Lions, A collection of motivational speakers who share their inspiring stories to help organisations improve employee engagement and well-being, the business has gone from strength to strength, working with clients such as Deloitte, BDO, Amazon and Just Eat to name but a few.

We cover some really interesting topics in this interview, a number of which I haven’t discussed with any other guests before including:

The story of how Gian founded TLC Lions and his advice to others thinking of launching their own business outside of Consulting.

Why being busy is just an excuse and what you should be asking yourself instead.

How Gian makes decisions and the importance of trusting your gut when deciding whether something’s right for you.

The importance of mental health or wellbeing as Gian calls it and Gian advice for both individuals and corporates on ensuring their wellbeing or that of their employees is as good as it can be.

and much much more!

I really enjoyed speaking with Gian and hearing how he’s managed to come back from such a terrible tragedy to create a successful business and happy life for himself and I’m sure you’ll get a lot from what he has to say!
